Kenik Kwok will film TVB's new epic series, stated all earlier rumors are meaningless

Friday, August 22, 2008
Since Kenix Kwok had lost out in receiving TVB's "Best Actress" award there had been numerous rumors claiming that her relationship with TVB had changed and she was also removed from casting in "A Pillow Case of Mystery II". Due to not liking how TVB treated her she accepted an interview for i-cable's channel. But it seemed that these rumors were untrue because Kenix has been officially casted in TVB's new epic series and will be heavily promoted.

TVB will start filming a new 40 episode series in November. The main leads will not involve any new actors or actresses. Rather inviting back veteran artistes such as Gallen Lo, Kenix Kwok, Ray Lui Leung Wai and Jamie Chik (Michael Miu's real wife) and many more. TVB hope's that the more experienced actors acting and storyline will attract the audience. Anita Yuen may also be casted in the series.

Kenix accepted a long distance call and admitted that she had accepted to film TVB's new epic series. She said "All the rumors earlier were not true and I do not need to clarify anything. When people hear that I am filming for TVB again it proves that earlier rumors were meaningless." She stresses that she hasn't filmed a series for 2 years and her relationship is still good with TVB. She was just hoping for a good storyline and stated that she had finally found one. Not only did the storyline appeal to her but also TVB executives Virginia Lok and Ngau Koon Ying had invited her to film the series. They also increased her salary making her very touched.

The reporter also asked Anita Yuen who is currently taking a break about the new series, she replied " I'm not sure, I have to look at the script and the requirements. I also have to see how my dieting is going because many people said I looked fat in (Love Exchange)".

it's such a great news that she's coming back to filming. i dont think i'll be able to sleep tonight hehehe...

I've always wanted TVB to invite back the 1980s faces & it's nice to see many of them again recently, namely Michael Miu. I also wish that Kenix will collaborate with them & yay!!! Jay Lui & Jamie Chik were among my favorite actors from the golden times.

i dont think Anita will take part in the series. it doesnt seem like she's interested in staying with TVB for long. i'm also watching Love Exchange but it's boring to death. i dont think i'll continue it even for Michael's sake.

I so hope this is true!!!!! I'm very happy, excited but also nervous!! I would definitely sleep well if Kenix confirmed it officially on her blog, then all fans can definitely rest easy!

I hope they invite Kenny Ho too! I wouldn't mind a Kenix-Kenny collaboration!!!

if you see Kenny Ho's recent pictures, you'll see he looks so old now. he might look better in modern series though.

Kenix & Kenny, just a wishful thought...

I can't wait for this series to start filming! When I heard the news I was thrilled to hear that Jamie is finally back. This series won't have the newbies and its a completely veterans series. I love to watch Gallen, Kenix, and Jamie. Ray is a good actor, but I haven't watched too many series of him. Since its an epic series, it's going to be an ancient. TVB hasn't been doing too many ancient series in a long time, especially grand production. I think people prefer modern and they are easier to make.

Michelle, I agree. The plot for Love Exchange is super boring!

Hi Lil,

It's so nice to see you again. i've been so busy lately that i havent been able to visit your website that much. i dont even go to Idy's forum that much anymore; plus, it's so quiet.

i heard this series is going to be a modern series, not ancient. i dont think Kenix likes ancient series very much. i also prefer modern series not because it's easier to follow but b/c actors have lots of crazy images for themselves lately. Plus, Gallen looks horrible in ancient costumes.

Michelle, I guess you're right. I think most stars like modern series more than ancient. All the outfits and make-up is just tiring and time-consuming. Modern series these days look better especially with the horrible ancient costumes TVB has. I haven't seen Gallen in ancient before. I read in SPCNET that the series will be about tycoons or something.

What series are you watching currently?
